Once two players join a match, the game progresses to the Battle Screen. Each player must then select the cards they are going to use in battle. The players may select between 5 and 7 control to use at the start of battle. After selecting cards, the players must then place all the selected cards somewhere in the first two columns of the board. Once a player has decided on the positions of their cards, they must press the ready button. Once both players are ready, the pre-battle countdown begins. At this stage of the battle, both players can see each other's cards and plan their strategy accordingly. After 15 seconds, the battle begins.
The winner is the player who eliminates all of their opponent's cards. If no player is eliminated within the time limit, Sudden Death begins. During Sudden Death, spaces on the board are slowly destroyed until a player is eliminated. If both players are eliminated at the same time, the match ends in a draw.
